Treatments
Let's Make You Feel Whole Again
When we suffer an injury or physical setback, it is easy to slip into focusing on our pain points and without our full physical functionality, we can feel as though a part of us is missing.
Balancing her extensive knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy with other practices such as acupuncture and craniosacral therapy, Amanda Hall offers a range of treatments at The Whole Being Physio to help you recover and reclaim those missing parts.
A Flexible, Integrative Recovery Model
Amanda offers treatments on a standalone basis, but for long-lasting, effective results, she can tailor a comprehensive personal recovery programme to support your journey to optimal health, during which she will incorporate all of her practices as required.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy helps to restore movement and function through specific exercises, manual therapy and bodily manipulation, as well as a range of electrophysical modalities.
Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is the cornerstone of Amanda's practice at The Whole Being Physio. Drawing from nearly two decades of experience, Amanda takes an intuitive approach to her work, quickly getting to the source of pain and discomfort while gently guiding the body towards balance and alignment.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture is an ancient practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to alleviate pain, improve energy flow, and restore balance. It is a safe and effective treatment for various health conditions.
Amanda is an award-winning acupuncture tutor from the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapy. She uses acupuncture to compliment her practice as a physiotherapist and aid the rellease of pain and tension in her patients.
She also uses acupuncture to treat fertility issues.
Women's Health
Amanda is dedicated to supporting women's health through all stages of life. She is a member of the national Pelvic, Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapy group. She is highly trained in pelvic exams and she can treat a multitude of concerns holistically, using the integrated systems model and cranial therapy treatments in combination with physiotherapy.
She can address pelvic floor pain and this can include internal pelvic floor exams and pelvic floor training.
Amanda also uses acupuncture to restore balance and treat fertility issues when required.
Cranial Therapy
Cranial Therapy focuses on the structural relationships between the skull bones, sacrum, and body tissues.
It is a hands-on method used to address structural imbalances in the bones and membranes and restore the body’s inherent rhythmic motions and self-healing capabilities
Visceral Therapy
a gentle, hands-on manual therapy that targets the soft tissues and fascia surrounding internal organs. Developed by Jean-Pierre Barral, it works to restore normal movement and mobility to organs, alleviating tension that can cause musculoskeletal pain, abdominal discomfort, and chronic issues.
Amanda is Barrel-method trained and finds this an effective method to help her patients release tension around the organs.
Pilates
Pilates is a low-impact, mind-body exercise method focusing on core strength, flexibility, body awareness, and postural alignment.
Amanda offers Reformer Pilates at our Esher location and mat pilates sessions at both locations.
Client Stories
Our clients share their transformational experiences at The Whole Being Physio, highlighting the effectiveness of our treatments in improving their health and well-being.
"I cannot recommend Whole Being Physio highly enough.
From my very first meeting with Amanda, through to treatment, her approach felt entirely different to anything I had experienced before. Professional, intuitive, and truly holistic — she doesn’t just focus on the area of pain, she looks at the whole body and how everything is connected.
I went to Amanda with a persistent Achilles issue that simply wouldn’t resolve. I had already undergone 12 consecutive physiotherapy sessions elsewhere, had consulted on potential surgery, and had been told that if it didn’t improve within eight weeks, I would need to immobilise it in a boot. I felt completely stuck — and had honestly given up.
Amanda took one look and said she believed she could help. Within a single session, I felt a noticeable difference. Rather than treating the Achilles in isolation, she worked to realign my body as a whole — addressing the root cause rather than the symptom.
The result? My Achilles has healed — and it has never returned to how it was before.
Amanda has an incredible gift. Her ability to see and treat the body as an integrated system is genuinely transformative. If you are dealing with an issue that hasn’t responded to traditional approaches, I would wholeheartedly recommend seeing her."

"Amanda is a consummate professional who cares deeply for her patients. I have worked with her for four years and she is the best physio I have ever seen. She has helped me greatly reduce and manage my chronic pain to a point where I can do sports again, which I never believed would be possible. I cannot recommend her highly enough."

"Over the past three years Amanda has successfully treated me for three separate injuries.
On two occasions a consultant’s referral was necessary ,one requiring a second opinion .
Amanda is at the top of her profession . Not only has this given her access to the finest consultants and private hospitals but on each occasion the whole process has been expedited.
Within twenty four hours of my first appointment with Amanda , meetings had been completed on zoom , MRI ‘completed ,the results discussed with the consultant and a recovery plan started. Bravo Amanda."
